TASTI Student Poster Competition (TSPC)


Purpose

The aim of TASTI Student Poster Competition (TSPC) is to encourage students to enhance their ability in the academic research and technique of the short-speech in the field of space science & engineering as well space policy & law.


Eligibility for Participants

  • Participant must have the status of undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student or a new TASA employee.

Remarks:

  1. Participant must not copy the materials and results from any published or unpublished research reports and data. If such behavior is detected, the participant will be disqualified and even punished according to relevant regulations.
  2. There is no registration fee for those who only participate in the TSPC. However, if participant wish to attend other activities in TASTI & IWSCFF, they must register separately.
  3. The new TASA employee is defined as they started work in TASA later than January 1, 2024 and is under the age of 30.
  4. Due to time and space constraints for the conference, the registration system will automatically close once we reach 50 participants. It’s first come, first served.

Scope and procedure of TSPC

The topics for the TSPC should consistent with those covered in the TASTI presentations, which can be viewed on the website.
Each participant will have a maximum of 3 minutes to give a short speech introducing his/her research. Evaluation will be based on presentation style, poster design, and the content/originality of the research.

Participant is encouraged to present in English. Detailed procedures will be updated and released on October 30th.


Awards

  • The winners of TSPC will receive the certificate of merit and prize as follows:
    First place: $NTD 5,000
    Second place: $NTD 3,000
    Third place: $NTD 2,000


Submission Guideline

  • Paper title (50 words maximum)
  • Abstract (between 200 and 800 words. Long abstract is unnecessary.)
  • Must include the title, the authors list and their affiliation and at least three keywords to describe the research area of the paper.
  • The official language of the TSPC is English. Please submit the abstract in English and, if abstract is accepted, plan to present in English.
  • The abstract shall be uploaded as .pdf files only.
  • ALL submissions must be made on-line via TASTI 2024 website.
  • Email submissions will NOT be accepted.

Poster Guideline

  • TSPC poster sessions will take place in corridor 301 near the TASTI poster sessions.
  • Participant must set up the posters within two slots: November 30th (14:00-17:00) and December 1st (09:00-12:00). Any poster set-up later than December 1st, 12:00 will be disqualified.
  • Poster must be removed by December 4th 12:00; otherwise, it will be discarded.
  • Poster size: 84.1cm (width) x 118.9cm (height), straight A0 size.
  • Title, author name(s), and abstract are placed prominently at the top of the poster to facilitate easy identification of abstract by viewers.
  • Author Name(s), e-mail, and address information must be provided in case viewers are interested in contacting you for further information.
  • Participant has complete freedom to display your information using figures, tables, text, photographs, etc., on the poster.
  • Please note that TASTI does not offer printing services for posters.
