NCSIST, establish in 1969, is a research institute responsible for the development of defense technology in Taiwan (R.O.C.).
NCSIST also participates in the internationally cooperated space program such as Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) Electronic System.
NCSIST has also been participating in Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA/SMA) project.
NCSIST provided a space grade 4-axis fiber optic gyroscope system which has been operated in Triton satellite since 2023.
